TWO Rosedale men charged with assault offences will appear in Sale Magistrates Court on December 22.

A 24-year-old man and a 54-year-old man have been charged with recklessly causing serious injury and assault by kicking.

The charges stem from three assaults on the same man at two different premises in Rosedale.

PARENTS are reminded to warn their children about stranger danger after two men tried to lure a 10-year-old boy into a car in Briagolong.

The boy was walking home from the shops when he was approached by two men in a car, who tried to entice the child into their car by offiering him lollies.

The child refused and ran home, later telling his parents who alerted police.

The car is described as a small white coloured sedan, possibly with a black stripe or strip down the sides.

The driver is described as a 24-year-old man with a fair complexion and long blonde hair which was spiked with gel on the top.

The passenger who spoke to the child is described as an 18-year-old man with a dark complexion and short black hair. He was wearing a white shirt.

Anyone who knows the identity of the men or the vehicle or who has any information is asked to phone Briagolong police on 5145 5213.

ALCOHOL was stolen from the Rosedale Football Club rooms during a burglary overnight on November 6.

Anyone with any information is asked to phone Rosedale police on 5199 2222.

SALE police are appealing for witnesses to a small car crash in the Safeway carpark on Tuesday.

The crash occurred at around 4.30pm, when a female driver caused damage to the front passenger side door of a red Mazda.

Sale police said the woman wrote a note for the owner but provided false details. Anyone who may have seen the woman or the accident is asked to phone Sale police on 5143 5000.

A CHAINSAW was stolen from the backyard of a home in Maffra recently.

The theft occurred between October 31 and November 1 in Boisdale St.

Anyone with information is asked to phone Maffra police on 5147 1026.

VALUABLE cross-bred ewes and sucker lambs have been stolen from a grazing property on the Seaspray-Stradbroke Rd.

Sale detectives believe the sheep were stolen from the property sometime in the last four to five weeks.

The ewes were in full fleece and the lambs were five months old.

Anyone who may have noticed suspicious activity on the road or in the paddocks is asked to phone Sale police on 5143 5000.

ROSEDALE police are looking for the owner of an engagement ring found at the Rosedale Football Club grounds in July. Anyone who may own the ring is asked to phone Rosedale police on 5199 2222.
