Assault witnesses sought

SALE police are appealing for further information about an assault at a night club in Sale in May this year.

A man was assaulted at the Club Hotel, also known as Ringers, at 2.25am on May 3.

The victim was punched from behind on the dance floor in what police have described as a ``cowardly and unprovoked attack''.

The victim received serious facial injuries.

Anyone with information or who witnessed the incident is asked to phone Senior Constable David Dowell at Sale police on 5143 5000 or Crimestoppers on 1800 333 000.

YARRAM police are appealing for public assistance following a series of criminal damage attacks in town on Saturday night.

A window was smashed at the Presbyterian church in Dougherty St and a row of recently planted trees in James St were destroyed.

Anyone with any information about the vandalism is asked to phone Yarram police on 5182 5033
