A LONGFORD man was flown to The Alfred hospital in Melbourne on Saturday after a tree crushed his leg.
Ambulance crews were called to High St, Longford at around 3pm.
The man was cutting firewood when a river gum tree fell on him and crushed one of his legs.
The man was flown to the hospital in a serious but stable condition.
SES crews were called in to help remove the tree.
SIX cars were damaged during a spate of car break-ins in Sale on Friday night.
Sale police said the cars were damaged in the Inglis St and Elgin St areas and surrounds.
The thieves broke into some of the cars and stole various items.
