Fourth man charged

A FOURTH man will appear in Sale Magistrates Court next month on charges for a burglary at a shop in Briagolong in May.

A 22-year-old Sale man has been charged with burglary and theft in relation to the burglary at a Briagolong service station on May 26.

The man has received bail to appear in Sale Magistrates Court on July 7.

Briagolong police have already charged two Sale men and a Sale youth in relation to the burglary.

A 23-year-old and a 19-year-old man have received bail to also appear in Sale Magistrates Court on July 7.

A 16-year-old male youth was bailed to appear in Sale Children's Court for the incident and other charges relating to a Traralgon burglary in March and the theft of a car in Sale.

A 17-year-old Sale female youth received a caution for her involvement.

HEYFIELD police are investigating an attempted burglary at Glenmaggie near the caravan park.

Police said the attempted burglary occurred overnight between Monday and Tuesday.

The burglar was trying to enter a home but was disturbed by another person and ran off.

Anyone who may have any information about the incident is asked to phone Heyfield police on 5148 2202.

Well done on catching these dregs. But that's just the tip of the iceburg in this region. The rest of Gippsland community needs to get its pride back and start dobbing offenders in and looking after one another like it used to be: These grubs need to get the message that they are not welcome in this region.
