THE Easter service program for Wellington Shire as advised to the Gippsland Times by local churches:

Maffra:

EASTER dawn Eumenical service to be held Sunday morning from 6.15am for 6.30am start at the Port of Maffra (McMahon Drive), near the barbecue shelter. Informal worship followed by a free sausage sizzle breakfast. Please take a folding chair and a mug.

Maffra Uniting Church Parish will hold a Maundy Thursday basket tea from 6.30pm at Boisdale UCA followed by foot washing and Holy Communion Service.

A Good Friday service will be held from 9.30am at St Andrew's, Pearson St, Maffra, on Easter Sunday. The celebration and Holy Communion run from 9.30am. Please take a flower for the flower cross.

A Community Church worship will be held on both Good Friday and Easter Sunday, both from 10am at Maffra Memorial Hall, Foster St.

Several services will be held at St John's Anglican Church in Church St, Maffra:

On Maundy Thursday there will be Tenenbrae from 7pm and on Good Friday worship from 9.30am.

On Saturday there will be an Easter vigil from 7pm and on Easter Sunday communion from 9.30am.

Several services have been planned for St Mary's Catholic Church over Easter.

There will be a a Maundy Thursday service from 7.30pm and a Good Friday service from 2.30pm, plus Stations of the Cross at 10am.

On Saturday there will be a vigil from 7.30pm and an Easter Sunday service from 9am, plus 11am at Newry.

Heyfield:

Heyfield Uniting Church will hold two Services of the Nails - one on Good Friday and one on Easter Sunday, both from 11am.

Sale:

St Paul's Anglican Cathedral, Good Friday 10am family worship, Easter Saturday 8pm Easter vigil, Easter Sunday 8am and 10am Holy Communion.

St John's Lutheran Church, Dawson St, Sale will be holding a service with Holy Communion on Easter Sunday from 3pm. All welcome.

St Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Sale, Easter services will be Good Friday, from 9.30am and Easter Sunday, from 10.30am. All are invited.
