WHAT is believed to be the strongest crowed on record had the Maffra and District Show Committee delighted with the success of the event.
Patrons were entertained from dawn to dusk on Saturday with a great array of livestock, craft, music, food and feature events.
Maffra Agricultural Show president Matthew Coleman said the committee was ecstatic with the success of the show.
"Takings are still being finalised but indications are the increase is substantial,'' Mr Coleman said.
He said entries were strong in all sections and the quality was outstanding.
"It is a real credit to the Maffra and district community.''
"Traders and local fundraisers with stalls reported great results, so it is good for the district.''
"The Maffra Show comes together as a result of a great committee and a huge band of local volunteers.
"You can't pin the success on any individual, as it is the result of the input of so many,'' Mr Coleman said.
"The ongoing growth in our show gives us the confidence to implement new ideas we have for next year.''
