P-plater travelling 156kmh

AN 18-year-old Sale man has been clocked by police travelling at 156kmh in the 100kmh zone along the Rosedale causeway.

Rosedale police intercepted the P-plater at 11.17am on Monday as he was heading towards Sale.

The man will lose his licence for 12 months and has received a $500 on-the-spot fine.

ROSEDALE police are appealing for witnesses to an incident involving two men in Rosedale's main street on Tuesday.

Police said the incident occurred at 3pm between the chemist and newsagent.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident is asked to phone Rosedale police on 5199 2222.

A GPS and CDs stolen from cars during a spate of motor vehicle thefts in Rosedale recently are waiting to be claimed by their owners.

Rosedale police retrieved the items when they charged a man for the car break-ins which occurred on March 16 and 17.

Police are asking the owners of the property to visit the police station to collect their items.
