POLICE are hunting a light fingered Thelma and Louise who stole a tablet computer from a store in Sale.
Investigators believe that the two women entered the electrical retailer situated in Raymond St, Sale about 3.15pm on Monday 23 January.
Members believe the pair worked in tandem with one of the women removing the tablet from a display case while the other distracted staff. The couple then left the store with the merchandise.
At the time of the offence one of the women was wearing blue jean shorts and a white singlet top. Her brown hair was tied back and she was carrying a large grey handbag. The other woman was wearing a grey top and dark pants. She was carrying a black handbag and also had her hair tied back.
Police have released images of two women that they believe may be able to help with their investigation.

AFTER a six hour standoff, police managed to safely talk down an armed man near Woodside last week.
The man, a 28 year old from Yallourn North, had armed himself with a knife and was threatening to commit suicide in Jack Smith Reserve about 9pm last Monday.
When police arrived, the man also threatened to attack police members. Throughout the night, police negotiated with the man, and about 3am he surrendered to police without incident.
The man was then taken by ambulance to Latrobe Regional Hospital for treatment.
