Vandals hit Rosedale

15 Jun, 2009 03:13 PM
A SPATE of vandalism in Rosedale between Friday and Saturday appears to be linked to other recent attacks, according to Rosedale police.

The criminal damage occurred in various streets around the town with cars and home windows damaged.

The vandals threw rocks through four windows of a car parked on the corner of Prince and McKay Sts and also dented the panels.

A van parked in Allan Court near McKay St also had rocks thrown through both front windows.

In Ayres Court a pot plant was removed from the verandah and smashed on a neighbouring vehicle's towbar while in Albert St a brick was used to smash louvre windows on a house.

Police estimate the damage cost the community several thousand dollar.

They believe these incidents may be connected with vandalism attacks reported the previous weekend.

Rosedale police are appealing for information about the attacks. Anyone with any information is asked to phone the police on 5199 2222.
