12 Nov, 2009 11:40 AM
COLLEGIANS is in the best position of the teams batting second to record a victory on day two of round five in Sale-Maffra cricket.

After bowling Rosedale-Kilmany out for 162, Collegians will resume on Saturday at 1-24 with Travis Ronaldson already dismissed for one.

Anthony Hurley, seven, and Matt Foster, 12, will be at crease at the start of the play, looking to make early inroads into the chase.

Collegians has the luxury of having the likes of Stuart Anderson, Geoff Wells and Matt Goodwin to come.

Craig Mayman took the first Collegians' wicket late on day one, he, Andrew Davidson and Brad Scott will be looking for early wickets tomorrow to put pressure on the batsmen.

In other matches, Maffra has been a set a challenging target of 284 to defeat Bundalaguah at home, Wurruk has a big task to overcome Boisdale-Briagolong, who made 9-321 last week, and A solid start will give Stratford a good chance of reaching 283 against Sale.
