AFTER five rounds of Sale-Maffra cricket, Bundalaguah is the only undefeated first grade team after a 54-run win over Maffra in a high scoring match at Maffra.

Sale is beginning to emerge as a potential finalist after a comfortable win over Stratford, who was all out for 101.

In another high scoring match, Boisdale-Briagolong dismissed Wurruk for 235 for an 86-run win.

Collegians, with century maker Stuart Anderson leading the way, scored 293 to defeat Rosedale-Kilmany by 131 runs.

REGULAR wickets gave Bundalaguah victory over Maffra.

After an early wicket, Brett Lanigan, 28, and Adrian Burgiel, 33, took Maffra's score to 69.

Both batsmen were looking good, scoring quickly as the ball raced away for boundaries on the lightening fast outfield.

Improving young Bundalaguah pace bowler Kris Morrison broke the partnership when Burgiel was caught in the covers. Shortly after, Morrison had Lanigan caught at point.

With Maffra at 3-74 with batting to come, the match was evenly-poised.

Glen Semmens, 50; Ben Durrant, 34, and Nathan Magnuson, 25 not out, helped Maffra reach 229, but Bundalaguah, with Morrison leading the way, kept breaking partnerships and stopping the run flow.

Morrison, in one of his best first grade spells, sent down 19.5 overs to finish with 4-66.

Mark Donald also bowled well, taking 3-74 off 22 overs.

STRATFORD could only manage 101 in reply to Sale's 278.

Travis Millar, 34, and Jason Bruce, 17, scored runs for Stratford, but Luke Klason continued his good season with the ball, taking 5-37 off 17 overs, and Pete Roberts took 2-18.

In Stratford's second innings, Sam Anstee top-scored with 66 and Jack Tatterson scored 37.

Steve Parry, 4-33, and Nat Campbell, 3-38, shared the wickets for Sale with Stratford reaching 7-140 at stumps.

CHASING Boisdale-Briagolong's 9-321, Wurruk was dismissed for 235.

Ian Wrigglesworth top-scored with 75, Scott Osborne, 38, and Alan Campbell, 34, put on 49 in their second wicket partnership, while Aaron Lynch scored 21.

Steve Noble, 4-31; Dylan Bolton, 3-66, and Jason Phillips, 2-47, shared the wickets for Boisdale-Briagolong.

COLLEGIANS made easy work of its chase against Rosedale-Kilmany.

Matt Foster, 33, and Anthony Hurley, 25, kept chipping away at the target before Stuart Anderson held the innings together with his unbeaten 107, which included five fours and five sixes.

Anderson and Mark Nicholls, 37, put on 110 for the eighth wicket.

Matt Goodwin scored 23.

John Brough sent down 31.5 overs, taking 5-97 for Rosedale-Kilmany, while Andy Davidson, 2-32, and Brad Scott, 2-34, also bowled well.
