GLENGARRY will play host to Rosedale in what is expected to be a tough encounter in North Gippsland football.
The Blues have won their past two matches against Cowwarr and Traralgon-Tyers United quite convincingly.
Glengarry will be on the rebound from a disappointing showing in wet conditions, which saw it suffer a massive loss to Heyfield.
The Magpies' chances of consecutive finals campaigns have been dashed after the loss saw them slip from sixth place to ninth.
A tenacious Rosedale emerged from the mud at the final siren with more than just a 51-point win. The win ensured the Blues remained in close check with the top five.
Rosedale sits outside the five on percentage, and has plenty of incentive to win at Glengarry.
But Blues coach Damien Birss is realistic about his side's finals chances.
"We have won two of the last six, after having lost four in a row. We pushed Heyfield, had Woodside on toast being six goals up at half-time and then were thumped by Boisdale,'' he said.
"The loss to Boisdale tested the resolve of the club. The boys could have dropped their heads and given up, but they have stuck at it and have seen the rewards for their continued hard work in past weeks.
"If we can continue to play a physical hard brand of footy, as we have in past weeks, it should serve us well. The focus is on hard, aggressive footy, being first at the ball and dictating play.''
GORMANDALE will look to all-but seal a place in the finals when it plays at Heyfield.
After a commanding 76-point victory over Stratford at home last week, the Tigers moved into fifth position ahead of Rosedale and TTU.
But closing the door on the sides below will take the unthinkable, ending the ladder-leader's nine-game winning streak.
The Kangaroos were in scintillating form last weekend against Glengarry.
CHURCHILL will host TTU, who knocked over the reigning premier in one of the biggest upsets of the season by 57 points in round five.
Cougars coach Leigh McDonald said at the time the side played terrible footy against TTU,
but has since come into some solid form.
While the Cougars have hit their straps, TTU was disappointing against Rosedale and will be looking to get back on the winners' list to stay in touch with the top five.
An eight-goal second term against Cowwarr last Saturday in heavy conditions demonstrated Churchill's versatility in the wet.
AFTER a disappointing effort last week, Stratford will be aiming to record another victory before season's end.
Hosting Boisdale-Briagolong, the Swans will take comfort from their performance against the competition's fourth ranked side in round five.
The Swans mounted a final quarter challenge, piling on three unanswered goals to come within 22 points of the Bombers.
It won't be an easy task to knock over Boisdale-Briagolong, who has an untarnished away record this season.
The Bombers had an impressive win against another premiership challenger Woodside last Saturday to keep alive their hopes of securing the double chance.
The Bombers are fast-becoming a side to be wary of, having claimed the scalps of Heyfield, Churchill and Woodside.
SALE City will travel down the South Gippsland Highway to take on Woodside.
The Wildcats have won one of their past three matches, dropping the points against potential finalists Heyfield and Boisdale-Briagolong.
The Wildcats will be keen to return to the winners' list, while an upset win to City would keep the Bulldogs in reach of the top five.
COWWARR has the bye.
