WOODSIDE and Boisdale-Briagolong sent clear messages to the rest of the competition with dominating performances in round 12 of North Gippsland football.

FOR the second week running, Boisdale-Briagolong won by more than 14 goals, defeating a sluggish Rosedale.

After leading by 14 points at quarter-time, the Bombers booted nine unanswered goals to lead by 62 points at half-time.

Three late Rosedale goals made the score slightly more respectable as the Bombers won 21.15 (141) to 7.8 (50).

Winston Gieschen, Ben Plozza and Joel Lambourn were all relentless in their hunt for the footy and did not waver over the four quarters.

WOODSIDE showed why it was a premiership contender with a 22-goal thumping of Stratford.

Forward Justin Staley and Nick Stockdale booted 13 and nine goals respectively in the 32.17 (209) to 10.7 (67) win.

Coach Travis Ronaldson dominated the ruck contests and was a match-winner for the Wildcats, while Scott Kilgower, Clint Staley and Mark Collison were also prominent.

Stratford's Steve Nicholls booted seven goals.

A SHOT for goal in the final minute handed Traralgon-Tyers United a one-point win over Sale City.

In the closest match of the round, the Bombers hit the ground running in the first half as they appeared to be poised to run away with the contest.

Four unanswered goals in the third term swung the game back into the Bulldogs' favour as they took a five-point lead into the final change.

The two sides fought out an epic final term, with a final shot at goal by the Bombers seeing them steal the match 11.12 (78) to 11.11 (77).

Bomber defenders Tom Lambert and Mark McMahon were solid with David Smith another solid contributor.

Carl Turner and Sefan Mapleson were Sale City's best.

CHURCHILL snapped its two-game losing streak with a three-goal victory at Gormandale.

In a low-scoring contest which saw four goals kicked up until half-time, the Cougars piled on five goals to one in the third quarter to hit the lead before they went on to win

9.14 (68) to 6.14 (50).

Nathan McDonald and Daniel Hawking contributed seven of Churchull's nine majors with Nathan Richer and Rick Davis named among the best.

GLENGARRY laid the foundation for its first win since round three with a six goal to two third term against Cowwarr.

The match was evenly-poised at the long break with the Saints taking a four-point lead, but Glengarry rallied in the third term, led by Aaron Winkler and coach Matt Adams, to be 22 points ahead at the final change.

Glengarry booted away in the fourth to win 20.13 (133) to 12.7 (79).
