Zalie Munro-Rustean, Kate Steinmann and Karen Humphris scored hat-tricks for Red with one goal each from Sharon Mogridge and Kate O'Toole. Sale's goal was scored by Julieanne Nicholls.

Maffra Black was too good for Wurruk, winning 13-0 despite being held scoreless for the first 15 minutes.

Five goals came from Megan Lindsay with four from Jordan McCullough, two from Nadine Jorgensen and one each from Alex Joiner and Leiah Cook.

An undermanned Sale Swans side was no match for an in-form Nagle, going down 10-0.

Nagle's goals were scored by Tarryn Haylock, Paula O'Neill, Regina Virgo (two each), Megan Brill, Fiona Morrison, Laura Swan and Mikayla Blackshaw.

Nagle combined well all day and proved that the conditions were not a factor.

SALE'S men scored a 5-1 win over Maffra after two goals from Jason Slattery and one each from Tom McCubbin, Jack Fitzgerald and Grant Hugo. Maffra's goal was scored by Gavin Cowie.

Wurruk won a physical match against Churchill 3-2.

Wurruk went ahead early with a goal from Ray Longmuir, but this was answered within a couple of minutes by a nice field goal from John Dubelaar.

Wurruk again hit the lead about 20 minutes into the first half after a Tim Stevens goal, but a penalty stroke awarded to Churchill saw its equal the score before half-time.

Longmuir scored the winning goal late for Wurruk. Churchill continued to press hard and was unlucky to not score the equaliser.

On Saturday in the women's competition, the two Sale sides will battle it out, Maffra Red should be too strong for Wurruk, likewise Orbost against Maffra Black.

All the games are likely to be close in the men's. Top of the table sides Bairnsdale and Sale will be a very good match and worth watching, while Wurruk and Maffra played a close match last time they met.
