A SUPERB day of thoroughbred racing is expected this Sunday at Gippsland's feature raceday of the year, Sale Cup day.
With almost 300 nominations taken across a nine race-card, the action on the track will certainly challenge the numerous festivities off the track.
The $100,000 trainers' bonus has been targeted by a variety of leading stables with a total of 40 horses nominating for the $122,600 Sale Cup (1600m). The other two races attached to the bonus, the $100,000 Inglis three-year-old Trophy (1400m) and the $25,000 Rating 78 (1200m) have attracted 25 and 26 entries respectively.
