Sale Golf slipped to fifth spot and is now on equal points with Maffra and Stratford, who are striving to make the four as well and fought out a great game. Stratford winning only the one rink, but holding on to win by one shot overall 10/65-4/64.

Sale White was too strong for Yarram, winning 14/101-0/40.

Sale Blue had the bye.

The battle also continues in section two as second, third and fourth spots are still up for grabs between Heyfield, Wurruk and Sale Blue, while Rosedale is only nine points off the pace with two games to go.
