THE Australian Junior Motocross Championships at Newry has been labelled an outstanding success.
Just under 700 riders, who travelled from all over Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia and the United States, showed off their motocross talent to their competitors and residents of Gippsland.
With the finals underway on Friday and Saturday the heat was on for the finalists to get their hands on the first place trophy and an Australian title.
The Interstate Cup Challenge, a race within the Australian Junior Motocross Championships was tough for the state teams, with each made up of eight riders.
New South Wales claimed the cup with second-placed Queensland only six points behind.
