Payless Promotions defeated CAT's three tries to two.

For Payless Corey Seibel, Matthew Walker and Duncan Flemington each scored one try. For CAT's, Adrian Whittaker and Michael Whittaker scored a one each.

Best players were Flemington, Kerry Shotter and Walker with Josh Woods winning the encouragement award.

Phoenix had a narrow 5-4 win over Gippsland Grammar Swans.

Phoenix won the game in the first half when it had four tries to three.

Jake Cockburn top-scored for the Swans with three tries. Derek Mwagiru was the only other Swan scorer with one try.

Brad Light and David Ropeti each scored two tries for Phoenix with Matthew Lever one.

Best players were Light, Cockburn and Mwagiru with Lexi Joyce winning the encouragement award.

An under-manned Mancans team defeated the Gippsland Grammar Barbarians four tries to three.

In his first game for the season, Gerard Bonaventura top-scored for Mancans with two tries in the first half.

Other scorers were Elizabeth Scott and John Woodhouse.

Henry Ropeti was the only scorer for the Barbarians with three tries.

Best players were Chris Riley, Bonaventura and Alex Rowles with Logan Deschepper winning the encouragement award.

Porky's Pine defeated Sale College, 6-1 with fleet-footed Ryan Walsh scoring three tries. Other scorers were Steve Deveney, Colin Haywood and Prue McNaughton with Bohdi Walker the only scorer for the College.

Nagle College had the bye.
